  • okay, people, looks like if you want to have safe drinking water and food go to Mexico, until the orange asshole donald is out of office, we'll all be drinking leaded water
  • I appreciate Seth Meyers for putting this revolting news in a palatable form. I don't think I could have heard it from anyone else on screen without punching said screen. Thank you Seth Meyers.
  • When Trump was announcing his cabinet picks I told my girlfriend it has to be a joke. He's putting the absolute worst possible people in every position. And yet those millions of Trump fans still say he knows what he's doing. Yes, he does. He's deregulating everything so his friends can rape America and pay Trump for his efforts. I sure can't think of any other possible reason.
  • Preserving the Earth for our children compromised for the profits of billionaires. I hope one day Mother Nature exacts revenge on them. Have their mansions flooded with polluted waters. Have them get lung cancer from breathing in polluted air
  • Monsanto causes cancer, autism, etc. in my educated opinion.
  • Am so envious of people I know who moved to Europe, where they grow food organically indoors.
  • Guess it's a good thing I don't eat much and now this is going to force me to buy organic when I can barely afford pesticide infused veg and fruits.
  • This is the most damaging thing coming out of the Trump administration, and it's not receiving the publicity (and public outcry) it deserves. Every other stupid thing Trump does pales in comparison to this.
  • I live in Mexico and sometimes on their news Trump is overdubbed in Spanish by a woman. It rules.
  • I think that we should ask anyone who doesn't support clean acts and regulation to improve our planet. Do you care about keeping the earth clean and safe for your children? No. OK then we shoot their children. Ask them if they would want toxic chemicals in their water... What anyone who is against regulation says is they hate everyone else and want as much for themselves as possible. That's OK for others to be selfish. But then murder should be legal because it's only selfish! There's nothing wrong with it.
  • Well Republicans do you now understand what's the danger of electing a redneck as a president or am I to understand that all Republicans are rednecks themselves?
  • trump needs to die
  • America, I'm sorry, I just don't care if you selfdestruct, but please, PLEASE, don't mess with the environment. The whole world begs you.
  • Look out for all the pro-Monsanto trolls using big science-y words to impress us...
  • Glyphosate is ROUNDUP. You probably sprayed it on your garden or lawn. It's everywhere.
  • Obviously there's problems with ignoring scientists and doctors who are warning against a particular pesticide, but where's the science behind the cancer risk of glyphosate. Glyphosate causing cancer is not widely accepted by scientists, and California finding something causes cancer is not special, and shouldn't be used as an argument that it does.
  • not protecting childrens brains results in trump supporters
  • I said to a Trump supporter the other week there that Trump did not care about America, he only cares about making money. That he so badly puts money above anything and everything else, that if for him to make a hundred million would result in the death of 1 million people, he would go for the 100 million every time and damn those who around him. This sort of verifies this.
  • Business and growth.. cancer on the planet..
  • "This presidency is a cow fart." I lost it.
  • How in God's name are these men pro-Asbestos? That shit's been confirmed carcinogenic and banned since the 80's!
  • The Dean!
  • The neg flag is for the content, not the show. Good job reminding us how bad Trump is for humanity and how Monsanto still has their poisonous agenda deeply entwined into the GOP agenda. HEY, GOP! Do you not REALIZE it takes SCIENCE to create Monsanto's poisons? (Of course you do. But science does not support white supremacy, world domination or corporate ownership of politicians. Monsanto does...)
  • I hope Pruitts gardener uses this pesticide very liberally around around Pruitts home. If Pruitt is walking around his property, spray him down, after all, it's perfectly safe! Plus, I will give you a dollar!
  • Meyers should do his research better. There is no evidence that glyphosate causes cancer. First, IARC classification is fishy, because they only look at evidence that the factor is question is capable of inducing cancers at ANY concentration and ANY exposure time. Including concentrations and exposure times that will never realistically occur in real life. Moreover, they do not take into account what is the relative risk. If long-term exposure to something increases risk of a certain cancer from 0.0001 % to 0.00013%, in practical life this is meaningless. This is why they classify as cancerogenic or probably cancerogenic or possibly cancerogenic things like alcohol, coffee, working night shift, working as haidresser, or having a fireplace at home. More importantly, their classification of glyphosate was based on an assesment made by a single person, and that person knew of upcoming and yet unpublished large study showing no link between glyphosate and cancer whatsoever, and they did not take into account. This why not only EPA, but other similar agencies around the world, including Canada and Europe, say that glyphosate is not cancerogenic. Sadly, Mayers is closer to Maher than to Oliver.
  • I mean, to be fair, California *does* say that everything causes cancer. When I bought my phone there was a giant warning in the booklet saying something akin to "the state of California knows this device to cause cancer, you're gonna die." I don't even live near California.
  • To paraphrase mouse with a clipboard, I give this video an *A+*
  • that rat joke... well... ratatouille...
  • Just how many people will the Scump administration kill? And how much of the government will these nincompoops destroy?
  • DEP does exist. Its the NYC dept. I think thats what he meant lol He's not federally educated.
  • Trump and his goons all be like - *"Death to America! We shall destroy all that the ones who came before us built!"*
  • The solution is staring us in the face. Spike Trumps coke with ayahuasca... then watch the biggest fucking ego ever created explode...
  • The DEP Trump referred to is probably the NJDEP, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Being based in NYC and doing multiple projects in NJ, Trump is probably very familiar with the NJDEP. It's not unreasonable for him to confuse the DEP with the EPA. That being said, I absolutely hate that this is the state of the EPA.
  • Aboslutely revolting. Scientists are the most valuable resource humanity has ever had, they practically build the ENTIRE modern civilisation, and the conservative dickheads are just dismissing them and throwing their research out the window for their own short-term gain. Conservatism is truly a disease that is dragging humanity down.
  • I hate Donald Trump and Scott Pruitt immensely, and I fully support the EPA and the concept of protecting our environment, the earth, and America from harmful chemicals and pollution, but the proof for glyphosate being a cancer-causing chemical is extremely lacking in quality and as of now I have no reason to believe glyphosate is harmful. Myles Power has several youtube videos going through the WHO report on glyphosate and it is full of problems. There are many things to criticise Pruitt/the new and worsened EPA on besides a claim based on bad evidence.
  • And so what is the difference between "A Closer Look" and "The Check In" again?
  • funny how some people claim to be patriotic, but they support corporations and politicians who give zero fucks about keeping this country clean and beautiful...i have to be amused by the idiocy to avoid being fucking depressed all the time.  jfc...
  • Glyphosate is Roundup. It's been around for 20 years and used extensively. It's a kill all for plants, but you'd be OK if you drank a glass of it.
  • the Dean looks like a better movie than most I've seen in the last 3 years
  • Would be funny if it wasn't terrifying.
  • Goodbye planet earth, you were great while you lasted...This is a travesty...
  • i would watch The Dean
  • This. Is. Insane.
  • Ok at this point I just want to punch really hard Trump's face and all of his friends.
  • It's fucking staggering the amount of damage one selfish, arrogant, ignorant shithead can do in a short time. Please die Donald. Soon.
  • THE epa is so corrupt. HE IS 100 PERCENT CORRECT when saying it destroys businesses
  • Aaah, what's a couple more chemicals in your water? And you wonder why IQ scores and life expectancy are going down in America. Lead is the least of your problems.
  • Our government has become one big joke run by the dumbest people chosen by  Trump so he  could feel smarter. Thanks Republicans for nothing. Get  your heads out of Trumps ass so you can see the light of day once again.
  • ugggggghhhhhhhh
